JB at IETM Valencia For Creative Climate Leadership Launch

This month the JB team are in Valencia presenting at the IETM Plenary meeting and launching the new Creative Climate Leadership programme.

Creative Climate Leadership is a programme designed to empower cultural professionals to apply creativity to the climate challenge with impact and purpose. It will support the development of local and international best practice, new skills and advocacy, and influence policy change. The programme includes two training course opportunities, the first of which will be open for applications from 18th November 2016.

The JB team will be launching the project at the IETM annual plenary gathering. If you are attending IETM this year, join us for a drink to celebrate the launch of the project on the 4th November in the Las Naves Courtyard from 17:30.

Or, if you're available to join us, we will be hosting a session at IETM on 4th November on the topic 'What Are The Cultural Dimensions Of Climate Change?' at the Art and Ecology session.

The session at IETM will explore how to embed ecology in the activities, values and governance of cultural organisations and will look at practical examples of sustainability in the arts. We’ll also be joined by guest speaker Monica Cofiño from Xata la Rifa festival. As part of the session we are introducing an exciting new development in response to COP21, the Sustainable Development Goals and ratification of the Paris Agreement, the Creative Climate Leadership programme.

Creative Climate Leadership is a new partnership between Julie’s Bicycle, COAL, On The Move, PiNA, EXIT Festival, Krug, Ars Baltica and mitos21, funded by Creative Europe.
