Call for Applications: International Summer Course

Applications are now open for our first International Summer Course on Sustainable Cultural Management, in partnership with mitos21 and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Sustainable Cultural Management Summer Course

A week of expert workshops and discussions on environmental best practice in the performing arts.

6th - 10th June 2016
Thessaloniki, Greece

Sustainable Cultural Management will share knowledge and experience from cultural organisations and practitioners across Europe and North America who are pioneering "green" practice.

Participants will develop new knowledge, skills and perspectives. You will come away with an understanding of sustainability from creative, governance and operational perspectives, and the tools and resources to put your learning into action. We'll cover everything from managing buildings, to creating and touring productions, creating sustainable partnerships and meaningful collaborations, and engaging audiences.

This course will connect the global "big picture" of climate change, environmental and economic challenges, to inspirational new ways of working that are emerging at individual, local and national levels across the performing arts. We will look at how responding to these challenges might just be the biggest opportunity we've ever had to creatively build a better world.

The course is organised by mitos21Julie's Bicycle and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (School of Mechanical Engineering).

Deadline: 15th March 2016
